Poor cable management is not cosmetic. It blocks airflow (raising intake temps and shortening fan life), makes maintenance slow, and turns a 10-minute server swap into a 40-minute untangle. The fix is systematic and cheap: 1U horizontal managers + finger ducts + velcro (never zip ties on copper).
Almost every deployment uses both. The 1U panel is where you win the airflow battle; the vertical channel is where you win the maintainability battle.
